FELICIA TAKES HER FIRST FEATURE WIN AT CHARLTON

Felicia was already to go on Saturday having to replace both of her bumper bars and panel beat every panel from the meeting before. Felicia had a few good starts for the night. Heat one Felicia started near the rear of the field but did not get to finish the race.

Heat 2 Felicia started out side pole with taking the lead into the first turn, Felicia held the win for the whole race.

Heat 3 Felicia had 2 start 4th when the track was a wet, Felicia done the right thing and sat there for the first lap when the first 3 cars spun putting Felicia in the lead. Felicia than held a nice lead for most the race when James Campbell just pushed his nose into Felicia's lead. Making Felicia Drive harder for the last 2 laps. Felicia's 2 wins gave her a outside pole start for the final, beside James Campbell, Felicia got the start and just had her nose in front of Campbell for nearly a whole lap when the orange light came on resulting in a complete restart. Felicia took the lead into the first corner holding the lead for the whole race, with Jayden Murphy pushing his way in when Felicia went a little bit high coming out of the corner, but Felicia still managed to take the win.

Charlton Raceway 27th January 2008

Felicia had a big day doing little things on the car. But once the night started the track was wet and slippery. Heat 1 Felicia started rear off the field and did not have a good run. Heat 2 was another start near the rear off the field, the track still wet and slippery Felicia ran about mid field. Heat 3 Felicia took another passenger in the car and sat in about 5th when another car over took her on a orange light. The final Felicia started rear off the field after not having a good run all night. Making a few moves on a wet and slippery track, but still did not make her way into the top 3

Charlton Raceway 31st December 2007

The first race was not off to a good start with a wet track and rain still around putting a delay on racing for around 45 minutes as the Juniors lost there first heat. Felicia's second heat saw her come home in 4th. Felicia went out there and changed her show in the 3rd heat, which ended up being her second race of the
night. Felicia started outside poll and managed to get the lead going into the first corner. Felicia held a comfortable lead for nearly the whole race and slowly pulling away from the field, when she had a bit of a upset in her driving, letting Ash Volk push his way past her. Not long after Ash pushed through James Campbell and Jesse Volk tried to push there way through as well but unfortunately mad the mistake off hitting Felicia and got put back a few places. Felicia took second place with Jayden Murphy not far behind her.
Felicia's final was not a good go at all starting 6th, she sat behind Jayden Murphy for a few laps before making a move on him and drifting up, and hitting the front part of his car, where Felicia busted her tyre on a sharp piece of metal hanging off his car.

Felicia has not been off to a good start this season but she is hoping for more luck
on the 26th and 27th of January

Charlton Raceway 1st December 2007

This season Felicia has not been off to a good start, but on Saturday night Felicia made her come back in the
feature. For the first 3 races she started near the rear of the field, in the first race Felicia had a flat tyre, which
put her out with 2 laps to go.
In the 2nd heat Felicia finished the race in about 6th coming from near the rear of the field.
Felicia's 3rd heat was a bit hectic, half way through the race Tiffany came from down low and hit Felicia fairly
hard in the side, but Felicia was able to keep racing. A few laps later little Ryan came down on Felicia and
got caught in front of Felicia, at that stage the race had been declared.
In the Feature Felicia started out of 10th. When the track was dry and starting to get a few ruts, Felicia had
a good race, hardly touching anyone on the track, Felicia and young Anteny Genrich gave the two
commodores a good run for nearly 3 laps side by side not touching each other once. Felicia let Anteny slip
away when she want a bit high in turn one and two pulling in a nice clean 5th.
Felicia had new suspension set up in the car for the first time since she came back last season, making a
bit harder to drive because she was not use to it.

Charlton Raceway 6th October 2007
Felicia went out for her first race of the 2007/2008 Season, all but very nervous. But the track was wet and
Felicia didn't get a start as they started while she was half a lap behind the rest of the field, so she pulled
in and didn't complete the race saving her car for the next race.
Felicia had a outside poll start for heat two racing Hayden Byrne to the first corner, Felicia had the race under
control from there leading the whole race until the last lap when she got a bit excited and made a little
mistake going into turn 1 and 2. Felicia tried her best to regain 1st but just missed out by half a car length.
Felicia's final was not another good start to her season. Starting close to rear off the field she slowly moved
her way up the field before getting black flagged, so not a very good start for her 1st meeting back. But she
will be coming back strong on the
3rd of November.

Brisbane Speedway 5th May 2007

Heat 1 Felicia started rear of the field, making her way up into the top 4, after tapping another car that was already half way round. Felicia got sent to the rear of the field not long after that she was determined to get back up in the field and pushed her car all the way but come together with another car and recieved the black
flag.

Heat two Felicia started poll, and was a bit slow off the sliding back into 2nd, a few laps before the finish. Felicia made a little mistake and finished third.

Starting 8th, which was rear of the field, Felicia had a good start and had a clean smooth way through the field not hitting one car, Felicia raced side by side with another car for a bit, finally getting around then, taking third, there was a red light stoppage. Felicia had a good restart but should have made an inside move, completing one lap than having to give away her third with a flat tyre, which was caused because her pannard bar broke moving everything out of place and the tyre rubbed in a piece of sharp metal.

Brisbane Speedway 14th April 2007

Felicia beats the boys at Brisbane!
Felicia trekked back to her favourite track at Brisbane International Speedway on Saturday night in what was a worth while trip, with Felicia winning the feature race from Shaun Black.  The cars don't get put into grades at Brisbane, as it is just an all in race.

Felicia's first heat saw her start from position six, as she picked her way through to cross the line in 2nd place. Heat two saw her start off pole position and lead the race from start to finish.  Felicia had enough points to qualify on pole position for the feature race.

Felicia Mitchell drove the race of her life, as Shaun Black started to close in on Felicia but didn't have enough to catch Mitchell as she crossed the line ahead of Shaun Black.  Felicia was ecstatic with her first major win of the season, and is already looking forward to next season.

Charlton Raceway 7th & 8th April 2007

Felicia started rear of the field in heat one and got a 2nd place after nearly getting caught in a accident but saved the car and slid side ways into the other car, then being placed rear of the field Felicia was determined
to get back into the top 3 at least. So Felicia drove hard gave her another 2 or 3 laps and would have taking out a first.

The second heat was a bit more successful starting outside pole, Felicia got caught up in a accident on her way through the field but managed to pull out a first. The final heat for points was very tough starting poll and finishing first, but just ahead of Felicia half way through the race.

On the Second night of racing it was the Club Championship.  Heat one Felicia started 6th and on a wet and slippery track had a bit of a struggle working her way through the field but managed to place 4th right behind the 3rd placed car. Heat two Felicia started 3rd and did not finish the race as she got spun and the race got declared.

The main race came and Felicia started 3rd making her way to 2nd found it hard to take 1st. Felicia made one wrong move and dropped back to fourth thinking the race was over for her, but she managed to take 2nd back in 2 laps, and finally found away around the lead car for her grade taking 1st. Felicia than mixed with the A grade cars and finished 5th overall and won the club championships for her
grade.

Charlton Raceway 10th March 2007

Starting rear of the field in the first heat, Felicia Mitchell opted for the high line to make her way to the lead of her grade with one lap to go, finishing in first.

Felicia started from pole in her second heat and lead the whole race letting the A grade cars get away, but held a nice lead over the rest of the field.

The final saw Mitchell start from pole, as Felicia held the lead her grade the whole race, as she drove her way through the rough track, making her way up to be mixing it with the A grade cars.

Felicia's next race will be at Charlton on the 31st March.

Brisbane Speedway 10th February 2007

Felicia Mitchell headed to Brisbane Speedway in what was her first return to the venue for the 2006/2007 season.

Felicia sped off to a great start, to charge her way through the field from 12th on the grid and ended up finishing a solid 4th.

The second heat Mitchell started from pole position and was on her way to win the heat, but a light drizzle of rain started to fall which changed the track conditions making it very greasy in some areas.  Felicia got a bit sideways up the straight and brushed the wall, which allowed two cars past.  Felicia finished in 3rd.

Felicia started from position 7 in the final.  A light rain shower passed which halted the program for an hour.  The grader ran over the track twice to try and get it raceable again.  The racing got underway again with the track condition changing immensely.  Felicia once again looked comfortable as she drove to track conditions and picked her way through the field to eventually finish 3rd.

Charlton Raceway 26th & 27th January 2007

After the car not controlling to well last weekend Felicia decided to try some lower profile tyres on the car not knowing how much it would change the car, but Felicia just went out and gave it a go. Felicia went out in heat
one and won the race for her grade and got a 5th over all. Second heat she went out starting towards the rear of the field and won the race for her grade and got 3rd overall.  The track was a bit wet and took her a while to get motivated.

In the final she started near the front of the field and ran up the top of the pack for the whole race following one of the top a grade drivers, Both Felicia and Chris Elliott ran away from the field placing first for there grades so Felicia got a second over all. Getting out of the car saying she wanted to drive like that again. The second night Felicia won both of her heat races running about mid field in both of those races overall. Felicia started up front of the field leading her race but 2 laps before the end of the race, she had to pull out with problems with the car.

Charlton Raceway 20th January 2007

After having almost a full season off due to upgrading the car to meet new rule requirements, Felicia did not have a real good start in heat one not knowing what the car would handle like, only completing 3 laps. Heat two Felicia came out on a better looking track and it changed her night as she had a little idea on what the
car was like, Felicia managed to place second. In the final Nathan Macdonald jumped in and went passenger starting at the rear of the field Felicia made an outside move around one car.  This gave Mitchell some clear space to try and get a handle on the car.  After hitting a slick part of the track out of turn 4, Mitchell got a bit too sideways and lost one position.  Felicia finished the race mid pack and felt more confident as the night went on.  With some more track time and car set-up, Felicia is hoping to pick-up from where she left off last season. The next race will be this weekend the 26th and 27th of January in support for the Australian Speedcar Title.  Stay tuned for more news and results.
